We offer instruction in firearm safety and use from general interest to advanced. We provide consulting to homeowners and small businesses on security issues, and give recommendations for improving security. We offer advice on personal security and provide instruction on how an individual can reduce hazards.

NRA Refuse To Be A Victim
This is a seminar originally designed by women for women. One of the early instructors found her son could relate to many of the subjects discussed and got the seminar opened to males.
Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for developing a strategy for personal safety.
The seminar includes classroom instruction on a variety of crime prevention strategies, from criminal psychology to automobile crimes to cyber crime. Seminars can vary in length, and may be modified to suit the needs of a particular audience. This is not a firearms instruction course, and does not include instruction in physical combat self-defense. Seminars teach about common weaknesses that criminals may take advantage of, and teaches a variety of corrective measures that are practical, inexpensive, and easy to follow. Strategies include home security, carjack avoidance techniques, cyber safety, and use of personal safety devices. A complete seminar may last 4 hours and include the entire lesson plan, but a modified seminar may be as short as 90 minutes and address a specific topic. This course offers the opportunity to persons having little or no prior experience with firearms to learn some basics about a variety of rifles, handguns and shotguns, the rules of owning and handling them safely as well as get some “hands on” with the firearms available (ammunition prohibited, no live fire).
Non-shooting course and teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and explains the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home.
This is a four-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload a variety of action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Modern Handgun (National Rifle Association (NRA) Basic Pistol) - Meets Missouri Concealed Carry Permit requirement for safety course
Introduces participants to knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for the safe ownership, use and transportation of modern handguns; pistol and revolver. Fundamentals of the operation of the firearm, ammunition, and skills required to operate safely as well as basic marksmanship.
This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Graduates may opt to stay for the sections on Missouri concealed carry law and use of force to obtain documentation for application for that permit. NRA Personal Protection in the Home
Presents basic information on the knowledge, skills and attitude needed to use a handgun in a defense situation.
Details: This is an 8 hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. The NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course participants must be law abiding, adults (at least 21 years old), and experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm) to maximize what can be learned from this course. This is a two part course providing information on the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to carry and employ a firearm defensively in public.
Comprehensive and intensive in its approach to equip the defensive shooting candidate with the skills needed to survive serious adversity. NRA Chief and Range Safety Officer Courses
This course provides the information to help you develope Range Safety guides, rules, learn where these should be posted, and formulate written procedures in the event of emergenies.
Developes NRA Certified Range Safety Officers with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
This course is nine hours long and is conducted in a classroom. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions.
A Chief Range Safety Officer can teach Range Safety Officers, develope the Operating Procedures, rules, assist in range design, determine emergency procedures and range policies.
